How quickly should I see my lawn look green and healthy? Every lawn is different; how your sprinkler system is programmed will have the greatest impact on when results will be seen. If your soil is lacking in key nutrients, it will take multiple fertilizer applications to get them up to an acceptable level. Once these nutrient levels have been achieved and proper sprinkler programming has been in effect for 4-6 weeks, your lawn will look green and healthy. How quickly will I see the weeds disappear? Most weeds take 2-3 weeks to disappear. We treat the entire lawn with an herbicide that will control most weeds. There may be some weeds and other unwanted grasses that require treatment with a specific herbicide that we only use for spot treating. These will take 2-3 weeks to disappear as well, depending upon the species of plant and the current environmental conditions. Again, proper sprinkler programming has the biggest impact on effectiveness of weed control herbicides. What if some weeds and grasses do not go away after the 2-3 week period? Call our office at 1-866-821-0845 and we will be on your lawn within 2 business days to retreat the weeds at no additional charge, provided that you have properly programmed your sprinkler system. If you system is not programmed correctly, the treatments will not be able to eliminate the weeds; therefore, retreating will not resolve the issue. Why do some weeds and unwanted grasses reappear even after they were treated? There are 2 reasons:
- Improper watering is the usual cause. Ensure your system is programmed properly - Click here for more information.
- The amount of pre-emergent in the soil contributes to this issue as well. All our pre-emergent applications require more than one dose for effective control which can take 2-3 different treatments before this is ultimately achieved. If there was not enough pre-emergent in the soil by the time the grass begins to turn green in March, then weeds and unwanted grasses can germinate. This issue is common for first time customers that were not previously using a lawn service. You should see dramatic improvements in the second year of using our service due to the proper amount of pre-emergent applied to your lawn. Are your products safe for children and pets? All our products are registered with the EPA and the State of Texas, which do not allow unsafe products to be used on residential lawns. These products are then diluted in water by approximately 100 times. The amount of herbicide applied to a 6000 sq ft lawn is less than 5 oz, and that is applied to the entire lawn. A pet or child would have to consume a very large amount of the product from the lawn. To be safe, you should always keep your pets and children off the lawn until the grass is dry. We usually treat the entire lawn with herbicides from October thru February, so most of these treatments are done during the colder months when most children and pets prefer the indoors. Why do I have to call a toll free number, isn’t this a local business? We service the majority of Denton and northeast Tarrant County areas. There are 5 area codes in this area and it is not a local call for all our customers to call our local number. Therefore, we only publish our toll free number to avoid confusion and dissatisfaction when attempting to contact us.
How do I pay for your services? There are multiple ways you can pay for your treatments: - First time customers can receive a 5% discount by prepaying for the entire year when ordering our service.
